Made to live again
ENCORE began with a simple idea: there are already so many beautiful materials in the world.
I create handmade accessories and décor using reclaimed textiles and materials wherever possible, from fabric remnants and unused production scraps to second-hand textiles, buttons and other materials waiting to be used again.
Each piece is designed and handmade in Switzerland in small quantities, shaped by the materials available rather than made from an endless supply of identical new fabric.
Reuse, without compromise
Reclaimed doesn't mean making something from rubbish. I carefully select materials that are clean, useful and beautiful, giving them a new purpose while creating pieces that are made to be enjoyed and used.
Some new materials are still used where they make sense, such as elastic, thread or other functional components, because durability and quality matter too.
Sourced with purpose
ENCORE is based in Morges, Switzerland, and the materials I use come from a mix of local and second-hand sources. I find textiles and materials in local thrift shops and through Swiss second-hand platforms such as Ricardo, as well as sourcing fabric scraps, remnants and other materials from businesses where they might otherwise go unused or be discarded.
Some materials are also donated to ENCORE, from leftover fabrics and yarn to clothes and other pieces that still have plenty of life in them.
Wherever they come from, the idea is the same: to make use of what already exists and give good materials another purpose.
